Feature Friday, Local Love : Soel Boutique

Each week I'll be doing a post entitled Feature Friday !

These posts will highlight an online shop, boutique, blogger, company, artist, product - anything or anyone who inspires me and has a message or product that I'd love to share with all of you !

This week, I'm starting with one of my absolute favorite stops for incredible fashion that is always on trend - Soel Boutique , located right near me in The Shops at The Riverwoods in Provo, Utah .

I am beyond obsessed with their Instagram pictures - they share such unique outfit ideas and feature items and looks that I truly feel I won't find anywhere else.
Here are some of my favorites that I've started collecting in my "Style" album on my iPhone!

I wanted to put a heart next to the ones that were my top picks, but I literally started doing it on every single one, so I put hearts next to my favorite looks for transitioning into spring!

Color Crush : A Black and White Affair

One of my favorite upcoming trends for spring is the always classic black and white outfit .

I love the clean lines, interesting graphics, and completely chic way a black and white outfit can come together. And of course, it's always fun to look for ways to add a little pop of color as you pull your look together.

 

This outfit was actually put together and shot back in September while I was working for The Impeccable Pig. I love that black and white is a tried and true look that is always sure to come back around so that I could use it again here !

Design Inspiration Monday : Exposed Wood Beams

If you follow me on Pinterest , you know that by far my most pinned items fall into the " For The Home " category . As a young stay-at-home mom, and first time home owner, I'm forever dreaming of the ways I'd like to change my house and equally wishing up the time (and funds) to actually do it .

 

Some of the images that have been catching my eye lately are very natural and earthy .

Perhaps my favorite way to add this kind of character to your home is through the use of exposed wooden ceiling beams .

These images left me craving a soft and natural pallet for a collection . I snagged the perfect pattern set and I'm still putting the final designs together, but here's a little sneak peak the upcoming collection inspired by the images above :

Saturday Smashbook : 3.2.13

 

I'm not sure how many generations this hit , but if you were a child of the 90s' , then you should definitely remember the days of the "Smashbook" .

A place to record you current thoughts, feelings, crushes-of-the-moment - it was the one-liner diary for the pre-teen girl.

 

A few months back, when I first started blogging for my family, I decided to bring this trend of the past into action. I am the world's worst journal keeper, and even as I look back at what I've written on these posts so far, they are horrendously similar.

Still, it gives me a bit of insight into what I've been doing these past few months.

 

I'm hoping to share these every week as a way to give all of you a chance to get to know me just a little bit better!

Hipster Collection

The Hipster Collection is the latest listing for Paper & Thread Co.!

 

I absolutely love the colors in this collection - corals, mints, greys, plums, yellows - so many of my favorites! I also love the way that when combined differently these designs can either create a really bright or slightly more muted pallet .

 

I love so many of these cases , but I have to say the mint and plum dotted case ( bottom , second from left ) or first striped case take the cake for me.

Color Crush : Pink & Mint

I have to admit , I've been feeling a bit of the winter blues lately .
 

All of these below freezing temperatures for weeks on end make it a little difficult to get out of the house with an 18 month old .
 

It's been almost three days since I've let the house - THREE DAYS .

So , maybe that's why I have a bit of spring on the brain today - or maybe it's just all of these goregous colors that are starting to appear in the boutique windows lately .

This picture totally left me craving some fabulous pink and mint hues , so I put together some images that inspire me !

A New Venture : Paper & Thread Co.

Introducing my new business , project , creative outlet , ( or whatever you'd like to call it ) - my very own Etsy shop : Paper &Thread Co . I'll be desiging mostly iphone covers for the moment , but I'm really hoping to expand to custom prints and perhaps even stationary !
